Smart PIN Mailer for Secure Printing with dot matrix printer and PIN envelop

WCT-SmartPM Smart PIN Mailer system helps bank deliver the cardholder PIN to customer safely through HSM and attached printer safely, and PIN code is protected by HSM in the whole work flow, the PIN mailers are safe before cardholder open it. WCT-SmartPM Smart PIN Mailer system can start to print PIN code and relevant data on mail after receive PIN and address file from the third party, based on HSM and attached printer, this software could decrypt the file with RSA or DES to retrieve PIN block and other useful data to print on mailer safely. It also allows operator design the print format of mailer.
All the activities happened in system are traceable and stored to database, database can support MySQL or SQL Server.

Main Functions:

Smart PM is running based on HSM and database, all the relevant data are stored to database, the security of system is ensured by HSM, this chapter describe the main functions in Smart PM.

1, Log Management

Log management records the user/system actions if enabled, there are 2 log types, SYS(system) log and HSM log. System log records all operation in system, HSM log traces the HSM activities, user can search information from the log file.

2, Task Management

User can delete PIN relevant file and record after print PIN mailer successful, this menu only allowed IT operation user access under supervisor (Checker).

3, Print/Reprint

Printing PIN mailer needs to load input data file and address file to generate the print tasks, then selecting a task to print/reprint. During the printing process, Smart PM will complete below activities.

1) Auto decrypt input file by PGP/GPG Key. (All data in file of input data encrypted under PGP/GPG )

2) Combine cardholder information with printing format , and then generate printing command

3) Smart PM Sends printing request to Thales PayShield 9000 HSM.

4) HSM decrypts sensitive data ,and then send print information to printer for printing PIN Mailer.

5) Generate report.

4, Report

Smart PM generates several reports during the program running, these report can print directly.

 Printing Control Report

Report a summary of PIN printing status for each job.

 Post Office Report

Including customer name, destination, input data name, operator, and status information

 Audit Trail Report

Logging system events all time during program running.
