SmartOne has an integrated EMV profile editor which allows the creation or modification of EMV profiles by creating or manipulating fields in the EMV space.
This task can be performed to create new profiles for existing, or new card schemes to extend the product range or update standards changes for improved security.

SmartOne has a Hardware Abstraction Layer, which is an Application Program Interface to talk to the issuance equipment through a fixed set of communications funtions, which allow the integration of any equipment in the market capable of imaging them to their implementation.

SmartOne has a Chip Operating System (ChipOS) layer based around the requirements of the Common Personalization Specification (CPS) or MULTOS.
